FOUNDATION In 1994, Frank Böckmann, Maurizio D’Alberto and Marco Zingg founded the innovative new company DT Swiss AG following a management buyout from the Biel-based “Vereinigte Drahtwerke”. The core business of this still small company was the manufacturing and distribution of spokes. Over the years, a unique cold-forging process, cutting-edge machinery and modern corporate structures helped DT Swiss evolve into a globally recognised manufacturer of high-quality bicycle spokes. Currently DT Swiss is owned and managed by Frank Böckmann and Maurizio D’Alberto.

VISION Driven by the vision of becoming a worldwide known manufacturer of bicycle components, DT Swiss expanded its product range over the years. Today DT Swiss has established itself as a leading manufacturer of spokes, nipples, hubs, rims, complete wheels as well as suspension systems.

PHILOSOPHY The bicycle industry is a global sporting and competitive environmental with rapid development. New trends, technical innovations and very high quality requirements are the key challenges inherent in new product design. Beside the use of innovative materials and advanced manufacturing processes the feedback from pro riders across all disciplines provide inspiration for new product developments.
